How to choose winter footwear for your kind of winter
Babylon winter footwear is handmade at our family-owned factory in Kharkiv, where we have been making shoes since 1997. Every model is built on its own last, and every pair goes through quality control at each stage of production. Still, the best pair is the one that suits your winter: how much you walk, what the weather is like where you live and what you plan to wear it with.
- City winter around zero. Armor boots with Winterfrost 500 insulation, Bike boots, and Alen and Eclipse sneakers lined with breathable Respira leather. Your feet will not overheat on public transport or indoors.
- Hard frost and long walks. Frost, Polar and MARY sheepskin boots, Daisy sneakers, and Glori and Cozy boots with thick natural fur. Fur keeps the warmth in even when you spend a long time outside.
- Snow and ice. Look at the sole: Cozy has a deep tread, Polar has an anti-slip tread, and Bike has a natural rubber sole.
- Sneakers for winter. Mellow, Mystique and the fur-lined 1654 models are for those who love sneakers and do not want to change their style when it gets cold.
Fit, socks and winter footwear care
Try winter footwear on with the socks you plan to wear. A thick wool sock takes up room, and a tight pair is colder than a roomier one, because the layer of air between your foot and the fur also keeps you warm.
