Women's Leather Shoes

Our women's leather shoes are made for a whole year of ordinary days: sneakers for the city, loafers for the office, fur-lined boots for frost and light sandals for summer. Every pair is made by hand at our family-owned factory, where we have been making shoes since 1997, and sold to you directly. This guide explains how the range is organised and how to pick the right pair for the way you live.

What kinds of women's shoes are in the range?

• Sneakers. Space, Alen and Flow in genuine leather, nubuck or both, plus high-tops such as Space-X, Alen-X and Velour. See women's leather and nubuck sneakers.

• Trainers. Opium in white leather or suede, on a light EVA and rubber sole, with a Respira or fur lining.

• Sandals. Bloom on a cushioned 5 cm EVA sole, Grace on a stable heel of about 7 cm, and ARDEN clogs on a light anatomical cork sole.

How do you choose shoes for the way you spend your day?

Think about where you will walk, not only about the season.

• City and long walks. Low sneakers with a Respira lining, a breathable Italian lining leather, on a flexible rubber or TPE sole.
• Office and smart trousers. Nubuck loafers or leather ballet flats: a clean line and a soft sole.
• Slush and wet pavements. Eclipse-64 has a liquid rubber coating on the toe and heel that shields the nubuck.
• Hard frost. Shearling boots or fur-lined nubuck boots with a temperature rating on the product page.

Shearling keeps the wool on the skin, so the warm layer and the upper are one piece. Fur-lined boots such as Glori and Verona combine a leather or nubuck upper with genuine fur inside.

Which material is easiest to look after?

• Smooth leather. Wipe it with a damp cloth and use a matching cream from time to time. The simplest choice for white pairs.
• Nubuck and suede. Soft and velvety. Clean them with a dry brush and treat them with a protective spray before wet weather.
• Sheepskin and fur. Dry them at room temperature, away from radiators and heaters.

Most of our leather and fur comes from Spain and Turkey; the soles are made to order for us.

How do women's sizes work at Babylon?

Women's models are made in EU 36–41; a few run shorter, and the exact range is on each product page. Every model has its own anatomical last, so your size can differ from one line to another. Measure your foot length in centimetres in the evening and compare it with the chart for that model. Cloud boots are listed as true to size. UK and US conversions are in the size guide.
