Men’s autumn footwear from Babylon

Men’s autumn footwear has to cope with both a warm September and November sleet. This section brings together Babylon men’s sneakers, high-tops, trainers, loafers and boots for autumn: uppers in genuine leather, nubuck or both, and many models are lined with breathable Italian Respira leather. Fur-lined sheepskin boots are in men’s winter footwear.

Choose by the weather: sneakers and loafers for dry days, and Washington, Bike or Armor boots with a lugged sole for rain and a cold November. Some boots come in an insulated version — fur-lined or with Winterfrost 500 insulation; this is stated in the “Composition” section of the product page.

Tip: it is best to try on new footwear in the evening. Your feet swell during the day, so a pair bought in the morning may feel tight by evening. Make sure the fit is comfortable and your toes have enough room. Every product page has a size chart.

Sneakers and loafers go with jeans, chinos and a jumper, under a parka or jacket. For a suit and a coat, leather lace-up boots are the better choice.

Autumn footwear needs care in rain and slush. Remove dirt right after wearing with a soft brush or a cloth dampened with warm water. Dry the pair at room temperature, away from radiators. A protective spray repels moisture, and cream keeps leather supple.

Special features of men’s autumn footwear

Most people expect three things from men’s autumn footwear: it should not let water in, should not slip and should keep feet warm. Only rubber boots are fully waterproof. Genuine leather and nubuck treated with a protective spray repel moisture well and still breathe, and a Respira leather lining keeps feet from overheating indoors.
