Women's Sneakers in Leather & Nubuck

Our women's leather sneakers are everyday pairs to wear with jeans, a dress or tailored trousers, in genuine leather, nubuck or both. Every pair is made by hand at our family-owned factory, where we have made shoes since 1997, on a last designed for that model. Here is how the models differ, which height and lining to choose, and how to look after them.

Low or high-top: which women's sneakers should you choose?

Low sneakers leave the ankle free and are the natural choice from spring to autumn. High-tops hold the ankle and keep out wind, so you can wear them later into the cold season.

• Low pairs. Space, Alen and Flow, almost all with a Respira lining, a breathable Italian lining leather.
• High-tops. Space-X, Alen-X and Velour. On the Space-X and Alen-X high-tops you choose the lining when you order: Respira or natural fur (at the same price on some models, for a surcharge on others — the product page shows it). See all women's high-top sneakers.
• Something different. Alen-61-X combines genuine leather with natural pony hair.

Leather, nubuck or a mix?

Smooth leather keeps its shape and is the easiest to clean; Flow-10 is made of it. Nubuck is soft and velvety, and it needs a brush and a protective spray before wet weather. Flow-14, Space-92, Space-93 and the Velour high-tops are nubuck. Alen pairs nubuck with smooth leather inserts, while Space-88, Space-89 and Space-94 use a combination of genuine leathers. Are fur-lined sneakers warm enough for winter?

For cold weather there are three kinds of warm sneakers. Mellow has a premium nubuck upper with natural fur inside. The 1654 models pair nubuck with faux fur and a cold-resistant TPE sole. Eclipse-64 is a high-top with natural fur and a liquid rubber coating on the toe and heel, which protects the nubuck from slush. All insulated pairs are collected in women's fur-lined winter sneakers.

How to choose the right size?

Women's models are made in EU 36–41, and each has its own anatomical last, so your size can vary between lines. Measure your foot in centimetres in the evening and compare it with the chart on the product page of the model you like.

• New pairs. Leather and nubuck can feel snug for the first few days and then soften to your foot.
• Tight across the width. If a pair pinches at the first try-on, it will not stretch a full size. Look at the Space-X high-tops, which are made on a full-width anatomical last, or browse all wide toe box sneakers and boots.
• Exact range. A few models are currently available in a shorter run of sizes, so check the size buttons on the product page before you decide.

How do you keep white leather sneakers clean?

White smooth leather is the easiest to match with any outfit and is simple to clean: wipe it with a damp cloth after wear and use a light cream now and then. Brush nubuck when it is dry.
