Platform sheepskin boots are warm women’s boots on a thick sole that lifts your foot above cold pavements and puddles. Babylon makes them by hand at our family-owned factory in Kharkiv. This section has women’s styles only, and every product page states a rating down to −20 °C.
Which styles come on a platform
Most styles are made of double-face sheepskin: a sheep hide tanned together with its wool, leather outside and fur inside, one material with no separate lining. MARY is built differently, with a nubuck upper and natural fur sewn inside.
- Frost. Frost-71, Frost-74 and Frost-94: double-face sheepskin with a genuine leather heel counter and tongue insert. Inside is dense, thick sheepskin fur, and the insole is fur-covered too. EVA sole, 3.5 cm inner sole height.
- Polar. Polar-11 and Polar-24: double-face sheepskin with wide laces and a light, stable sole with an anti-slip tread.
- UG-1. UG-1-41 and UG-1-44: natural double-face sheepskin, thick dense fur inside, a light sole.
- MARY. MARY-84, MARY-91, MARY-94 and MARY-99: slip-ons in genuine nubuck with natural fur and a light, hard-wearing sole.
How to choose platform height and sole
For walking around town every day, a moderate platform is the comfortable choice, like Frost with its 3.5 cm inner sole height. It keeps your foot away from the cold ground and adds a little height without getting in the way of your stride. On ice, the tread matters more than the height: Polar has a tread designed against slipping. Judge the platform height of other styles from the side photo or ask our team. Fit and size
These boots fit loosely, but your heel should not slip out as you walk. Measure your foot in the evening in warm socks and compare it with the chart on the product page; the allowance is already built in.
