Babylon Summer Footwear
In summer, you need two things from your shoes: your feet should breathe, and they should not get tired over a long day. In this section you will find women’s and men’s sandals, summer sneakers with mesh inserts, nubuck and leather sneakers, and women’s loafers. We make all of them by hand from genuine leather and nubuck at our family-owned factory in Kharkiv, where we have been working since 1997.
Men’s and Women’s Summer Shoes
- Sandals. Genuine leather, an anatomical insole and a light EVA or cork sole. Some models have an adjustable Velcro strap so you can fine-tune the fit.
- Summer sneakers. Nubuck with mesh and a genuine leather lining: air flows through while your foot stays secure. The TPE sole is light and flexible.
- Leather and nubuck sneakers. For the city, a relaxed office dress code and evenings when it gets cooler.
- Loafers. Soft genuine leather, a leather insole and no laces, so they slip on in a second.
How to Choose and Care for Summer Shoes
Choose open shoes for hot days and holidays: your feet do not overheat and get less tired. For the city, where you walk a lot, sneakers with mesh or perforation are more comfortable. A leather lining absorbs moisture better than synthetics, so the pair feels comfortable without socks.
In summer, dust and direct sunlight do the most damage. Wipe leather with a damp cloth and brush nubuck with a dry brush. Dry the pair in the shade, not in the sun or on a radiator, or the leather will dry out. Apply cream to smooth leather every few weeks.
