High-top leather sneakers cover the ankle, hold the foot more securely and keep out wind and splashes, so you can wear them from early spring to late autumn, and the insulated versions in winter too. This page brings together our high-tops for women and men, each made by hand at our family-owned factory, where we have made shoes since 1997. Below: how the lining options work, how a high shaft should fit, and how to wear and care for a pair.
Which lining should you choose for high-top sneakers?
Many high-tops are made with a choice of lining, which you select on the product page when you order. The options depend on the line:
- Respira. A breathable Italian lining leather, standard on almost every model. Right for spring and autumn.
- Fur at the same price. Men's Space-X, Breakout and Eclipse can be made with Respira or fur, and the price does not change.
- Natural fur for a surcharge. Women's Space-74-X, Space-81-X, Space-84-X and the Alen-X models are offered with Respira or natural fur.
- Winterfrost 500 for a surcharge. Men's Alen-X and LEGION can have Winterfrost 500, a synthetic insulation placed between the upper and the lining. It is not a membrane; the product pages rate it down to −15 °C.
Two lines have a fixed lining. Eclipse-64 is warm from the start, with natural fur inside, while the Velour high-tops in genuine nubuck always come with Respira.

How should high-top sneakers fit?
A high shaft wraps the ankle, so the height of your instep matters as much as foot length. Each model is made on its own anatomical last, which means your size can differ between lines.
- Sizes. Women's models come in EU 36–41, men's in EU 39–45; Breakout starts at 40.
- Measure first. Measure your foot in centimetres in the evening and compare it with the chart on the product page.
- Wide feet or a high instep. Start with the men's Space-X, LEGION and Alen-X, which are listed as suitable for wide feet. Women's Space-X are made on a full-size anatomical last.

Can you wear high-top sneakers in winter?
Yes, if the pair is built for it. Choose a fur or Winterfrost 500 lining, or a model that is warm by design, such as Eclipse-64. A rubber coating on the toe, as on Eclipse and Breakout, protects the leather from scuffs and slush. Women will find more warm pairs in fur-lined winter sneakers, and our guide to wearing sneakers in winter covers the rest.
What do you wear with high-tops, and how do you care for them?
High-tops look best with straight-leg jeans, cuffed chinos or wide trousers that sit on the shaft rather than hiding it. Clean nubuck with a dry brush and refresh the protective spray before wet weather. Wipe smooth leather with a damp cloth and add cream from time to time. Dry fur-lined pairs at room temperature, away from radiators.
